The 2026 general election is November 3

Oregon's voter-registration deadline is October 13. Ballots begin mailing October 14, and Election Day is November 3. Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Election Day; official drop-box ballots must be received by 8 p.m.

Oregon road funding is still unsettled after Measure 120

ODOT says voters rejected most of HB 3991's tax and fee increases in Measure 120. The 2026 Legislature addressed a $297 million maintenance-and-operations shortfall through the end of the current budget cycle, but ODOT says the long-term State Highway Fund challenge remains unresolved.

Jackson County is part of Oregon's 2026 drought emergency picture

Jackson County was included in an April 2026 drought emergency declaration. By July 13, the state reported that 21 of Oregon's 36 counties had received 2026 drought emergency declarations as dry conditions persisted across much of the state.
